Hi, mom and/or dad!

At SLWC we work hard to provide safe, fun, age appropriate activities that teach, entertain, develop skills, challenge and build relationships. We will provide your child(ren) with a positive experience that will be remembered for the rest of their lives. We will treat them with respect and love, and send them home happy, tired, smelling of camp fire smoke and looking forward to being back next year.

Because the Bible is our foundation we teach kids about God and why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us as a means to bring a lost and hurting humanity into relationship with Him. This is done through stories, games, Bible lessons, songs, and everyday experiences where our leaders model the truth of God's Word.  We build on what you teach your kids about love and respect for others, themselves and the world around them.

Like most camps we depend on teens for a major part of our staffing needs, including counselors. Sr. Counselors are 18 years of age or older and are provided training and supervision. They also have clean, current police and vulnerable sector checks, as do all staff over 18 years of age. Jr. Counselors are at least 16 and are in a process of training as they gain experience to become a Sr. Counselor. A number of adults also serve at camp providing a great balance of maturity and experience with youthful energy. A ratio of no less than 4 campers to 1 staff member is normal.

Thank your for trusting your children to our care.
